A post-doctoral fellow position is opened in the laboratory of Nathalie Labrecque at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Research Centre affiliated with the University of Montreal (https://crhmr.ciusss-estmtl.gouv.qc.ca/fr/chercheur/nathalie-labrecque). The post-doctoral fellow project will aim to decipher the impact of Parkinson disease (PD)-associated mutations in the differentiation of CD8+ T cells and to evaluate their contribution to Parkinson disease pathogenesis. This project is part of the ASAP team project leads by Michel Desjardins on the role of PD-related proteins as drivers of disease through modulation of innate and adaptive immunity. The post-doctoral fellow will use both in vitro and in vivo assays to address the impact of PD-related proteins in antigen-presenting cells on the differentiation of CD8+ T cells, which play an important role during PD pathogenesis.
Required training and profile
- Hold a PhD degree completed less than 2 years ago
- Knowledge in immunology and immunology-related techniques (cytometry, tissue culture and molecular biology)
- Highly motivated
- Excellent organization and communication skills
